Shih-Wen Young has a Ph.D. in High Energy Physics. His dissertation was on the physics of Charm quark and the decay of neutrinos. He is currently a professor in Astronomy and Physics at American River College, California. For the past twenty years, he has collaborated with artists, musicians, dancers, technologists, and scientists on projects that were exhibited and presented at the Hall of Science, NYC; the Leonardo Electronic Almanac(LEA); International Symposium of Electronic Art (ISEA); Association for Chemoreception Sciences(AChemS); Medicine Meets Virtual Reality (MMVR); the State Hermitage Museum, St. Petersburg, Russia; Museum of Modern Art, Kiev, Ukraine.
Dr. Stephanie Sherman is a dancer, choreographer, scholar and poet whose work crosses disciplinary, linguistic, and international borders, blurring lines between theory and practice. She holds a Ph.D. in Performance Studies (UC Berkeley), an MFA in Dance (NYU, Tisch), a Fulbright (Dance, Ecuador, 2006), and a BA in Spanish (Vassar College). She has choreographed and taught in NYC, Boston, SF, Ecuador, Mexico, Chile, and Costa Rica. Her dissertation examines choreographies of violence, urban-space and resistance in Mexico City.
